Altun Ha (Departs at 8:30 AM and Returns at 5 PM)
Altun Ha Maya site and the famous jade head of the sun God “Kinich Ahau” was found on this site, which has two plazas, is a few miles from the sea and is set inside a pristine rainforest. The temple of the masonry altars beckons exploration with its sacrificial altar on the top. Altun-Ha Jungle River Tour: Make it an all day adventure with us at the Mayan temples of Altun-Ha. Learn more about the history, the flora, the fauna, and about the six-inch, ten pound jade head (Kinich Ahau), all found in this exotic site.
